Attribution

On the free Developer plan, attribution is the license fee: if your project shows 𝕏TVDb data, it must say so. On Plus and Pro it is optional — and still appreciated.

The requirement

Wherever 𝕏TVDb data is visible to your users, include a credit that is visible without interaction (no hiding it behind a menu) and links back to us. One credit per screen or view is enough — you do not need to badge every field.

Web apps & websites — logo + text, both required

Anywhere a browser renders your UI, the credit must include the 𝕏TVDb logo next to the text. Download it: xtvdb-logo.svg. Standard credit — native apps, bots

The logo is strongly encouraged here too — required wherever your platform can display images.

Short credit — space-constrained UIs (Telegram messages, tooltips)

The name

The brand is spelled 𝕏TVDb — the first character is the double-struck 𝕏 (U+1D54F). Where your platform cannot render it (plain-text logs, some terminals), “XTVDb” is acceptable. Do not restyle the name, add spaces, or fold it into your own product name.

What attribution is not

Do not state or imply that 𝕏TVDb endorses, certifies or built your project.
Do not use “𝕏TVDb”, “𝕏TV” or confusingly similar names as your app's own name.
Do not present the catalog as data you collected yourself.

Upstream credit: TMDb

Parts of the catalog metadata (artwork, cast, plot summaries) originate from The Movie Database (TMDb). 𝕏TVDb uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb. If your project displays that metadata prominently, carrying the same notice is good practice and keeps you aligned with TMDb's terms as well.
